Cancer
By Bonnie Beucler
Cancer
is the one disease that we all dread, for ourselves and for
our pets. There are several kinds, as you all know and there
are many methods of treatment. There are many animal oncologists
now and chemo for our pets has become a normal thing. The
decision to treat holistically or traditionally is, like everything
else, a very personal and individual one and it sure wouldn't
be up to me to tell anyone which to pursue.
Cancer is thought to be around the
corner in all things we do and feed. If we are very observant
and take all things in the pets' environment, perhaps we can
bring down the astonishingly high numbers of pets with cancer.
It is thought that generations of kibble have in some way
contributed to this out break. Perhaps. But then again,
maybe we are hearing more about it because we have lists like
Wellpet where we have been put in touch with others who are
going through what we are going through. The breeders who
keep good records can probably
help us here
I do not pretend to know all the answers
and I wouldn't paraphrase someone else either. Lew Olson has
a cancer diet on her web-site, and many others do too
all
I can say is that I have seen a lot of very sound advice on
the subject on Wellpet and I think that those who have gone
through the ordeal with one of their animals, can help teach
others.
